EYC is also very  happy to announce a replacement:

We are delighted to announce that Hannah Tuson-Turner has been named the new Director of the Encinal Yacht Club Junior Sailing Program, effective September 10, 2014.

Hannah brings an outstanding balance of skills and experiences to her new position. A highly accomplished racer, Hannah was a four time All Conference (PCCSC) women’s skipper for the powerful University of Hawaii intercollegiate sailing team, where she was also named team captain in 2010-2011. Hannah began her twelve years of coaching experience as an instructor at Sail Orcas in Orcas Island, Washington in 2003, where she went on to become the lead program instructor in 2008. In Hawaii, Hannah spent five years as the head sailing instructor and program administrator for the U. of Hawaii Campus Programs Center, and one year as a sailing instructor at the Kaneohe Yacht Club. Over the last two years, Hannah launched and ran the junior sailing program at the Half Moon Bay Yacht Club, where she further solidified her reputation as a teacher, a planner, a collaborator, and as a leader who enjoys getting to know her sailors and their families.

Those who know her best consistently describe Hannah as very positive, enthusiastic, hard-working and organized – exactly the qualities we need to help lead our EYC junior sailing program into the future. Hannah takes the helm on Wednesday, September 10th, so please stop by her office and give her warn EYC welcome!
